Ootd & Mini Haul

 

I was returning a few items at Ulta today so naturally I had to pick up a few more! Nail polishes were buy 2 get one free so I got Orly brand in Bubbly Bombshell, Oui (an amazing gold/purple duo chrome) and Royal Navy. I also got Essie's luxeffects polish in Stroke of Brilliance which I have been eying for months! Can't wait to try these out for a Nail of the Day. I picked up NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in 05 Bonfire and let me tell you my first impression is AMAZED this is definitely going to become one of my favorite lip products. It goes on really smooth and thick (in a good way) so your lips glide together just right and the color is so bright and gorgeous. I have been wearing it for about 3 hours now AND ate some soup and it's still on almost perfectly so I'd say this is definitely a long lasting product! Liquid lipstick, who woulda thunk. I also got an ~orangey~ blush by NYX in 08 Cinnamon, and the NYX Tango with Bronze Powder in 02 Bronze Ensemble, a duo shimmer bronzer with a darker contouring shade and lighter hilighting color. I was going to get the Too Faced Chocolate Soliel because mine is almost gone but I prefer the milk chocolate one and Ulta only had one left and it was like touched and sampled :( Can you guys tell how much I love NYX? It's so cheap and their products are to die for. I got some Formula 10.0.6 face cleanser and masque to try out too so I will review those after I use them.

Here's the outfit I wore whilst running my errands today! Crochet top and studded denim top are from Forever 21. Black trousers are from H&M, ruffled socks from ASOS, wooden platforms are Jeffrey Campbell. All jewelry is from Forever 21 except my watch which is Betsey Johnson. My lips are the NYX Lip Cream in Bonfire. Sunglasses are Ray Bans.

One last thing behind the click through is a PaNoRaMiC photo I took of my bedroom using the iOS6 update for my iphone!! I have the black iphone 4s. My room was looking particularly cozy that night I thought it was a fun photo to take :)

The most nostalgic romance of fall... Romeo/Juliet themed style video. What's not to love? I want to bask in this shit, live it as my real life every day.. Run away to an unknown garden with my loverboy and eat clementines by candle light listening to solely french-pop.

  

 

Some of My Favorite Shoes

Here I am showing off just a few pairs of my absolute favorite shoes from my collection. I have way too many shoes to post them all but these are the pairs that I seem to wear most often, and have out on display, rather than in their boxes or under my bed. I need a shoe shelf! My room just isn't really big enough at my parent's house. I can't wait to move out again and get a new apartment that will have a room dedicated solely to my shoes and clothes. My ultimate dream room is like DulceCandy's office/closet. It's amazing! Anyway here's a little bit about each pair of shoes pictured:

Last night,  I broke my no shopping til October rule and bought an adorable pair of flats I just could not resist.. See them behind the cut.... :3

Maybelline Olive Martini Tutorial & Review!

Today I picked up the Maybelline Eyestudio Quad from the fall collection in Olive Martini. I saw a lot of videos and reviews of this limited edition palette and was especially attracted to the duo-chrome color (3rd from left) and I just had to get my hands on it! I was having trouble finding it but then managed to grab one while grocery shopping today! So the colors are really pretty and perfect for fall. The left is a shimmery pinkish white, the second is a very pale minty green, the third is the duo-chrome color, sometimes brownish then greenish then blueish then coppery its just so so beautiful! And last, a nice, deep burgundy reddish shade. So I really feel like these colors are perfect for this early start to fall and decided to do a mini tutorial using this palette! JANE MAI

So art, has to be by far, my favorite thing in the entire world. More than makeup & clothes. More than cotton candy. It's literally the force that connects EVERYTHING beautiful in our lives. I can't even begin to explain. Drawing, painting, anything creative like that is such therapy for me, so calming and freeing and amazing in every way. I've decided to pay tribute to some artists who really inspire me and share with you guys some of their terrific work and where to find it. First up on my list is the friggin awesome Jane Mai

My Weekend at SU!

This weekend was my two best friend's 21st birthday! They are twins :) I went up with a couple of my other good girl friends and had such a fun time. The campus is beautiful! I definitely can't wait to go back and visit again. The only bad part was the food service there. Literally every place we ate the servers were SO rude. Annoying, especially since we all work in restaurants ourselves.

These are some shoes I got from Forever 21 for $36 and the polish I wore for the weekend.

We actually saw a quidditch team practicing! I was so excited. I wish my school had friggin quidditch! (Shoes are F21) And a beautiful building exterior.

This building supposedly was what the Addams Family house was based on! And a funny sign held up with Hello Kitty tape :)

Review: Revlon Lipsticks!

So I love Revlon lipsticks! I have a ton, they have amazing color selections and are such a great affordable price.
Recently I got two new ones buy one get one 50% off at Walmart!

The colors are left; Va Va Violet and right, Black Cherry

The top picture is me wearing the Violet one. I actually don't like it at all. My lips have to be COMPLETELY dry for the color to even apply, and it goes on all streaky and uneven. Perhaps it's attempting to be a sheen-sheer-glossy color like thing but with a shade that dark and bold it just doesn't work well at all :( The bottom photo is of me wearing the Black Cherry and this one is a WINNER! The color applies dark, even and bold. It's so gorgeous, literally looks like a black cherry on my lips :3 So out of two, I give one a big thumbs up, and the other a frown. I am disappointed because I really want a dark blackish purple lipstick! Do you have any favorites??
